We also lead the industry in consumer transparency by having every product batch tested separately by an accredited independent lab, and then making those lab sheets available with a scan of the QR code on any of our products. We do this to reassure customers they are getting a clean, authentic CBD product.

The simple reality is that even when you read “lab-tested” on any given CBD product, there’s more to the story.
To begin with, the testing should be done by an independent laboratory, not an in-house facility. In-house lab testing is a little bit like grading your own homework! If you know the laboratory is independent, it matters if the lab is ISO-certified or not. That means the laboratory meets an international standard for testing and procedures. Finally, know that many CBD companies simply opt to send an isolate to a lab for testing, while Green Roads chooses to test whole, finished products. Independent testing by an ISO-certified lab, and testing both our ingredients and whole, finished products. We take these careful measures because, since day one, we’ve only been making products we would be proud and confident to see our friends and family use.
You may have read “CBD from US-grown hemp” on a Green Roads product package, but do you know why it matters so much? It matters because hemp plants have a sponge-like quality when they grow. Whatever is in the soil winds up in the plant.
Green Roads extracts its CBD from US-grown hemp plants with certificates of quality. These certificates show the plants do not contain unsafe levels of contaminants. These certificates also indicate the hemp plant has no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Starting with better raw materials simply leads to better final products. Note that sourcing in the CBD industry is highly competitive and evolves constantly. It’s not unheard of for brands to “look the other way” and use less-than-stellar options for raw materials.
