Broad Spectrum vs.
Full Spectrum

Let’s explain what each of these terms means, and why you might choose or prefer one over the other.
Green Roads offers CBD products in three extract types:
Let’s explain what each of these terms means, and why you might choose or prefer one over the other.
Broad-spectrum CBD products are made with a broad range of cannabinoids and other beneficial compounds found in hemp plants, but with essentially zero THC (the compound in marijuana that causes a high).
Full-spectrum CBD products are made with the full range of cannabinoids and other beneficial compounds found in hemp plants, including up to 0.3% THC (the federally legal limit).
Promotes the "entourage effect" (in which additional cannabinoids and hemp compounds may synergize with CBD for greater wellness potential)
Choose Broad Spectrum…
Full-spectrum products are the most holistic representation of the hemp plant because they don't exclude any cannabinoids
Choose Full Spectrum…
These products are made with just the isolated CBD compound as the active ingredient, and no other cannabinoids from hemp. Isolate products are a way to be confident you’re getting absolutely zero THC.
While this means you sacrifice getting the entourage effect (which is when multiple cannabinoids synergize for greater wellness potential), for some people isolate products are the right option. We create products based on our desire to help every person find a path to well-being. Offering CBD isolate products is one of the ways we do that.
For CBD users with strong preferences, feeling confident you’re getting the right extract type makes all the difference. As a company founded by a licensed compounding pharmacist, Green Roads takes accurate formulation of each extract type very seriously.
We have developed a process designed to ensure quality, consistency, and potency whether you have a broad-spectrum, full-spectrum, or isolate cannabidiol product. This process begins from the ground up with hemp plants grown exclusively on American farms. We require that these hemp plants have certificates of analysis indicating that they were tested for pesticides, heavy metals, and other unwanted elements. These tests also show that the plants are compliant with the limit of 0.3% THC for a federally legal industrial hemp plant.
The CBD industry is filled with fly-by-night brands that have non-transparent sourcing. Non-intoxicating cannabidiol can be extracted from either marijuana plants or industrial hemp. With an extraction from federally illegal marijuana (even if it is legal in a given state), there is greater potential for a non-compliant THC percentage. When you start with quality-tested hemp plants that are already in the federally legal range, you can be far more confident of the final product’s makeup.
Our team of experts creates each of our broad-spectrum, full-spectrum and isolate products. Our manufacturing arm has been certified as a maker of Over the Counter (OTC) health products by the Florida Department of Business and Regulation. This status, which is quite rare in the CBD industry, means our manufacturing facility has passed rigorous standards in terms of equipment quality, staff certifications, and methods, and is able to produce a wide range of non-prescription health products. Both the ingredients and whole finished products are tested for quality by an independent laboratory. You can use a QR code on any of our CBD products’ packaging to review the results of this test.
